"Short version: You can't beat good family style cooking and the prices here bring you back in time when you could eat out and have a good meal everyday at a reasonable price. Ohh and they had cute homemade jelly's. Stopped by for lunch after a morning at the range, and I wish I lived around the area to come more frequently. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. And the waitresses fav dish there was biscuits and gravy. So, of course had to try the chicken fried steak. The gravy did not disappoint. Creamy, thick, and not too much salt, over crunchy and nicely cooked CFS. Couldn't resist also trying the Chopped steak (hamburger steak) with grilled onions, hash browns and 2 eggs for lunch, all smothered in brown gravy! Exactly as you would want them to be. And naturally, a side of the corned beef hash. I was glad they were exactly as I liked them, NOT big chunks of potatoes and meat, and fried enough the outside was crunchy! Other were vegetarian, so they got the onion rings, fried zucchini, salad, etc. Will be adding this place to my "eat here when here" list."

"Let's keep it real when you go to a hometown restaurant you want hometown cooking and this place is it and prices are very reasonable. Nice Hometown atmosphere the Owners are absolutely the best.But the reason I stop here is for the food. I've ate here multiple times and am always completely satisfied with my food. I hope this little slice of Heaven stays open forever. When your in Garretsville Ohio stop in. All they need is a rocking chair out front to enjoy cars going by."

"I have never been to a resturant that has such a community feeling. I am from the local college, and I went by myself on an early saturday morning. I ordered the western omlet. Not only was the food fantastic, but someone paid for my meal. Every time I go in there, it is always the friendliest people. If you are expecting fine dinning, this isnt that place. It gives the vibes of a resturant your grandparents would take you to when you were a kid. The coffee is coffee. The service is fine acceptable for the establishment. It is not a suit and tie place; but thats it charm that makes it feel like home."
